Kristian Pedersen Anker (1848-)

He was born 28 Oct 1848 in Skovhuse, Krogsbølle, Odense [birthrecord could also be read 29 Oct 1848], and christened "Christian Anker Petersen". Son of smallholder [danish: husmand] Peter Anker and wife Ane Marie Mathiasdatter. Completed his thelogocial studies in Askov, Denmark in 1880. He emigrated in 1881 with purpose of becoming a minister for the Danes in America. For one year he had charge of a congregation in Chicago, and 1882 he moved to Elk Horn. In Elk Horn, that had many Danish settlers, he was the pastor of the Danish Lutheran congregation. In 1875 he was married to Karien Nielsen. A son attended University of Nebraska.
